Momentous Institute is a large nonprofit with a 90-year history of building and repairing social and emotional health with children and their families so they can achieve their full potential.

Sandy Nobles is a veteran educator and dynamic speaker who is a dedicated proponent of urban education.

With over 20 years of teaching experience and 15 years as a Principal, Nobles currently serves as Director of Education for Momentous Institute, powered by the Salesmanship Club of Dallas. Nobles received her B.S. from Southern Methodist University and her M.Ed. and Principal Certification from Texas A&M-Commerce.

With her insight into building and sustaining successful schools, Nobles is best known for her ability to work side-by-side with teachers to create a collaborative, results-oriented school culture.

The Youth United For Prosperity Foundation (YUP) LEGENDS & KIDS® Young Authors Program staff skillfully led our students through the writing process with energy and enthusiasm.

I am Michelle Kinder, the Executive Director of Momentous Institute in Dallas, TX. I have worked in children's mental health for the last 18 years. I graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts and the University of Texas with a Master's in Educational Psychology.

Michelle developed a family strengthening program, Fortaleza en la Familia (Strong Families), which has been used to provide culturally grounded parent education to thousands of families. She is a nationally recognized speaker on topics such as what children need to succeed, mindful parenting, social-emotional health, effective parent health, and education.

Engagement, the effect of trauma and violence on children, and the intersection of mental Youth United For Prosperity’s Young Author Program is an excellent way for students to express themselves through writing and illustration.

Dr. Joe Profits's commitment and enthusiasm for the LEGENDS & KIDS® Young Authors Program are infectious, and our students were eager to meet the challenge he set before them!
